Attendance

Attendance in Tussock is tracked per event during the Active Night. There’s no separate attendance system — it’s built into the event flow.

How it works

1. Start the night from the Active tab.
2. Tap each Scout’s card to toggle them between present and absent as they arrive.
3. Present Scouts show at full opacity; absent Scouts are dimmed.
4. Changes are saved to the server immediately.

The sticky footer shows a live count: N/M present.

Multi-day attendance

For events that span multiple days (camps, expeditions), a day picker bar appears at the top. Tap a day to manage attendance for that specific date.

A Scout is considered to have attended the event if they were present on any day.

Attendance and awards

When you Complete & Award, only present Scouts receive OAS progress and PAL credits. The override flag (“Do not award”) lets you exclude individual Scouts even if they were marked present — for example, if they arrived late and missed the relevant activity.

Viewing attendance history

Attendance records are stored per event. You can see a Scout’s attendance history on their detail page, showing which events they attended, their PAL role, and the date.
